Fluminense will look to continue their impressive start to the Brasileirão with the early league leaders looking to add another win when they visit Fortaleza. The hosts are 3rd in the standings with four points after two matches, while the visitors are top with six points and leading because of goal difference. Fortaleza started the season with a 1-1 draw against Internacional where they conceded a 54th minute goal only to recover and equalise through Moises goal two minutes later. They got back on track in the next round winning 3-0 at Coritiba, but the winning margin was bloated by two goals beyond the 80th minute. They will be running against history in this fixture, as Fortaleza have won just once across their last eight league matches against Fluminense.

The visitors finished third in the league last season but started this campaign on a high.
