Fortaleza welcomes Colo Colo to the Castelão for this opening match in the Copa Libertadores Group stage. The Brazilian home team had to come through the qualifiers to make it into the main draw. They finished fourth in the Brazilian Serie A to gain entry into the qualifying competition. In the final they won the second leg of the tie 1-0 against Sport Recife to advance 2-1 on aggregate. Fortaleza are on an incredible run of results and are unbeaten in their last 17 matches across all competitions with five draws and 12 victories. Their home record is even more impressive winning 11 of their last 12 matches with one draw. Their last home loss was in the Brazilian Serie A in November last year. Fortaleza have built their home success on the back of an excellent defence as they have only conceded two goals in their last six matches.
