Fluminense are seventh in Brazil's Serie A, only outside the Copa Libertadores qualifying places on goal difference. They host Atletico GO who are 18th in the table and a point from safety. The home side have made an inconsistent start this season. The last four home games have produced a couple of wins but also two defeats. The last home fixture was a real thriller as they defeated Atletico Miniero 5-3. They led that game 2-0 early on but ended up at 3-3 before two more goals clinched the three points. That was an important victory as they had lost their last two games in Serie A.

Atletico GO are in relegation trouble after the first ten games of the season. Only two of their league games this season have been won and now take on Fluminense in Serie A twice inside a week. They have only played four away league games this season and it's not been going well for them. Those matches have only produced four points with two draws and a couple of losses. Only two goals have been scored on the road with eight conceded.  Half of those came in the 4-0 loss at Bragantino on April 17 and it could have been more as they were 3-0 down after half an hour. Only two of their last 11 away games in Serie A have been won but two of the last three have ended in 1-1 draws. Back Fluminense to win this and have a side bet on them doing so with both teams getting on the scoresheet.
