With only six matches remaining in the 2023 Brasileirão Série A, sixth-placed Flamengo hosts second-place Palmeiras for a vital fixture between these two competitive rivals. These two historic clubs have set the benchmark for Brazilian football over the past five years. Fluminense recently winning the Copa Libertadores marked the first time since 2018 that a team other than Flamengo or Palmeiras lifted the famous trophy.

They’ve also managed four clean sheets in their last five with the defense really tightening things up at the back.
