The top two sides in the Brazilian Serie A, Flamengo and Internacional face off this weekend with the league championship at stake. Second placed Flamengo will be the hosts here, hoping to leap above their visitors. Going to the game, Flamengo have 68 points and Internacional 69 points. It is the penultimate game of the season and perhaps the most important match for both teams. Flamengo will give all to defend their title and an unbeaten run of five matches should push them. However, they haven’t been strong defensively, and have conceded the most in the top seven – 45 goals. In attack, they’ve done much better and are the best scorers so far, with 65 goals. They head to this game having failed to score in just one of their last 10 matches. In that run, they’ve scored two or more in six of the 10 matches and will be hoping for a good outcome in their very last home league game this season. Everything about this game favors the hosts.
