Flamengo vs Gremio Prediction & Betting Tips - Brasileirão Serie A

Flamengo can go above opponents Gremio with a home win on Sunday. The home side are fifth in Serie A and a point behind the visitors after nine league games. Fourth is important as that takes a side into the Copa Libertadores group stages rather than the qualifying rounds. The Urubu come into this game having won each of their last three matches. Their most recent game was in midweek with a 2-1 home win over Racing Club in the Copa Libertadores. It took an 83rd minute winner from Victor Hugo to ensure it wasn't a Les Miserables evening.  The Rubro Negro have won three of their five home games in Serie A this season. The only loss was to Botafogo who are top of Serie A. 

Gremio are also in good form with each of their last four league and cup games being won. Two of the three league wins have come on home soil where they are unbeaten in Serie A this season. It's not gone so well on the road though. Gremio have won a couple of games but lost the other two. That included a 4-1 loss at Palmeiras who are second in the table at present. Ten of their last 14 away league games have been lost, Five of those matches have seen them fail to score a goal. We believe Flamengo can inflict another away loss on them.
