Rostov and Dinamo Moscow both missed out on slots for European football in the Russian league and this season they will be targeting better finishes. The two face off in the opening game of the Russian Premier League on Friday, with Rostov hosting the game right after losing 1-0 to Honved their final preseason friendly. It hasn’t been all smooth in their preseason activity; Rostov have managed only three wins in their eight friendly matches and only two of them have produced clean sheets for the team. The visitors do not take to this game a very strong away run; they have one win in the last six and that came in their friendly match with Czech side Ceske Budejovice. The 4-0 win in that game remains their only clean sheet in the last four away matches.
