Serie A action on Sunday evening as Fiorentina welcome Sassuolo to the Stadio Artemio Franchi. The pressures of juggling runs to the Europa Conference League and Coppa Italia semi-final stages as well as a league campaign has started to tell as the season has worn on for the home side. They lost midweek 1-4 to Atalanta in the Coppa semi, a sending-off for Nikola Milenkovic turning the tie. They have won just three times in 2024 from a total of 14 league games with two of those over Frosinone and Salernitana who occupy the other two relegation places alongside Sassuolo. It took until the 80th minute to take the lead against Salernitana away from home in their most recent league game but will be looking for something more akin to the 5-1 thrashing they handed Frosinone back in February here. Goalscoring has not been easy for them but they have at least been better in this regard at home.

It has been a real struggle away from home this season for Sassuolo, only picking up nine points so far on their travels. They are two points from safety with only four games remaining for them after this, starting with a home game against the champions, Inter Milan. As such, they really need to be getting something from this game but they have only managed to pick up one point from their last eight away games, scoring just four goals in the process. Two of those were away at bottom-of-the-league Salernitana, a game where they led 2-0 at halftime only to capitulate to a 2-2 draw after 90 minutes. They repeated that at home to AC Milan next time, 2-0 up before a 3-3 draw.
