Finland vs Belgium Prediction & Betting Tips - Euro

Finland still have a chance at advancing to the second round of Euro 2020 despite their narrow loss to Russia in their second match. They take on Belgium in their final group game, with Belgium already having secured their place in the next round. Finland beat Denmark in their opening game before losing to Russia, and Denmark’s loss to Belgium threw the group wide open as far as Finland’s chances are concerned. They can reach the round of 16 through either finishing as one of the best third placed teams, bettering Russia’s result against Denmark in the other game or simply by beating Belgium. Finland are playing their first ever major competition and they have shown some good maturity in the two matches played. They don’t necessarily have a good run though; in their last eight matches, they have just one win – the one against Denmark. While they don’t have many clean sheets, Finland’s organization especially in defence has been impressive. They have one clean sheet in the last nine matches but even with five losses in the last eight matches, only two have been with the margin of more than a goal. Their scoring run isn’t very impressive either, the team having failed to score in three of the last four matches.

Belgium showed their other side in the ability to chase a game the last time out as they came from down to beat Denmark 2-1. They had a horrific start and Denmark took an early lead as they enjoyed massive possession in the opening minutes. However, a change that saw Kevin De Bruyne and Eden Hazard introduced proved to be a masterpiece. De Bruyne went on to score and assist to see Belgium sail through to the next stage and with the two midfielders coming to the tournament with injury concerns, Roberto Martinez will be glad they showed good quality in that game. It was much easier for Belgium against Russia in the opening game and after finding a way past a stubborn Denmark they have another tough one against a defensive Finland. Belgium are unbeaten in their last 11 matches and they go here with three clean sheets in the last five. Each of their last four Euro Championship matches have produced over 2.5 goals. Curiously, Belgium have no win over Finland in their last seven meetings; the Finns have four wins in there.
