Ferencvaros and Olympiacos will face off in the second leg of the Europa Conference League knockout rounds on Thursday night. The visitors currently lead the tie 1-0 thanks to a late goal by Ayoub El Kaabi in the first leg. Olympiacos dominated the match in Greece last week and will arguably be a little disappointed not to have a bigger lead heading into this match. They had the lion’s share of possession (58%) and fired almost three times as many shots at goal as their opponents. Following that victory, Thrylos put on another solid display at the weekend, overcoming PAOK 4-1 on the road. They are now up to 47 points after 23 games in the Super League 1, trailing league leaders AEK Athens by five points. Olympiacos came third in their Europa League group behind West Ham United and Freiburg with seven points in their six games. However, they were only able to earn one point in their three away matches and failed to score in their last two. 

Meanwhile, Ferencvaros had little positive to take from last week’s match, but with there still being just one goal in this tie, they cannot be counted out. That defeat brought an end to a four-match winning streak in competitive games, during which time they scored two or more goals in each match. The green and whites were drawn in Group F of this competition, and despite only winning two group-stage matches, they were unbeaten in the remaining four, which was enough to see them hold off Genk for second place, with Fiorentina claiming top spot. Ferencvaros won one and drew two of their home matches in this competition and are looking to extend a four-match unbeaten home run in all competitions. Despite their performance last week, the bookmakers make the hosts the favourite heading into this one.
