This Friday's Super Lig action sees Fenerbahce taking on Kayserispor at the Şükrü Saracoğlu Stadium. Fenerbahce have been in terrible form but may step things up a gear in the knowledge that a bigger audience than usual will be tuning in. One of the last top-level leagues still active after the declaration of a global pandemic by the WHO, the Super Lig has plenty to offer new fans. Fener, usually challenging for the title, are chasing the chasing pack thanks to a dreadful 2020 that has left them seventh, 13 points off the top spot. Kayserispor, bottom of the 18-team division, are theoretically three points from safety. However, the reality of their situation is that their goal difference is so much worse (-34) than every other team's that they're effectively four points away from the clear.

Without a win in six, Fener have lost four of those games, including a humiliating home defeat to bitter rivals Galatasaray. The bane of Fenerbahce's season has been their away form, the Turkish giants failing to win 10 of their 14 matches on the road. At home, they have won seven of their 12 fixtures. While one might think that a game against the worst team in the league would be a great opportunity for them to end the rut, they actually have a poor record against Kayserispor. Failing to four of last five meetings, Fener lost three games to Kayserispor in that sequence. Plus, Kayserispor are in much better form than Fener, winning three and only losing one of their last six matches. The statistics don't lie and suggest that Kayserispor could get something from this fixture. However, with their own crowd behind them and the eyes of the world watching, we think Fener can find form again with a win.
