Fenerbahce Istanbul - Sevilla: Form Analysis
Fenerbahce were not in action over the weekend which will do them a world of good as they prepare for this difficult but achievable task. Jorge Jesus’ men have played three matches since resuming their season following the devastating earthquake that rocked Turkey in February. They have won two of those, scoring six goals in the process. Their strength lies in attack. They are the most potent team in the Turkish Super Lig with 58 goals from 23 matches and have scored two or more goals in eight of their last 10 matches. As they need to win by a big margin here to progress, you can almost be certain that this match will see at the very least over 2.5 goals.
Last week’s win over Fenerbahce seems to have given Sevilla a new lease on life as they followed that up with a 2-1 win over lowly Almeria over the weekend to pull themselves further away from the relegation zone in Spain’s La Liga. Jorge Sampaoli’s men had lost three straight prior to hosting the first leg and will fancy their chances even more now for the return match. They however haven’t performed to their liking while playing away from home in Europe this season and are without a win in four matches on the road. They lost 2-0 in the last 16 playoffs away to PSV and progressed thanks to a 3-0 win in the first leg. They will be keen not to go through that again and will try and make life difficult for their hosts from the start.

Fenerbahce Istanbul & Sevilla Squad Analysis
Jorge Jesus has a plethora of attacking options at his disposal and it is only about finding the right balance. Enner Valencia is the club’s top scorer with 25 goals and will once again be expected to lead the line. Mitchy Batshuayi is the second top scorer with 14 goals and could start or come off the bench as he eases himself in after being out with an injury. Leftback Lincoln was withdrawn with an injury late in the first leg match and could potentially miss out here.
Erik Lamela was on the score sheet again over the weekend after netting in the first-leg match and will be one of the attacking threats for Sevilla alongside striker Youssef En-Nesyri who leads all scores for Sevilla with 12 goals across all competitions. On a sad note, Sevilla could potentially be without goalkeeper Bono, who was withdrawn with injury in the first half against Almeria. Tanguy Nianzou could be another potential absentee as he too was withdrawn with injury against Almeria.
