Fenerbahce Istanbul vs Galatasaray Prediction & Betting Tips - Super Lig

The Turkish Super Lig Round 18 match between Fenerbahce and Galatasaray is sure to be a highly anticipated and closely contested Intercontinental derby. Both clubs currently sit in the top two of the league table, separated by just a single point, and will be eager to secure a victory in this match to boost their chances of challenging for the championship. Fenerbahce come into this match on the back of a strong run of form, having won seven of their last eight games. Their most recent match against Antalyaspor was eventful, with the opponents denied a late equaliser as Fenerbahce secured a hard-fought 2-1 win. While they have been in impressive form recently, the hosts have not been able to claim top spot in the league table ahead of this tie, due to the equally impressive performances of Galatasaray. Nonetheless, they should find encouragement when looking at their recent record when hosting their Istanbul arch-rivals, against whom they have lost just once in twenty-seven home meetings.

With Gomis leading the line, Galata have been extremely dangerous in front of goal, scoring in fifteen of their last sixteen games in all competitions. This includes a comprehensive 7-0 victory over former champions Basaksehir, which has to be one of the standout scorelines of the season. Despite their strong form, Galatasaray have a somewhat checkered history when it comes to playing away against Fenerbahce. However, given their recent performances both at home and on the road, they will be confident of getting a positive result in this match.
