Fenerbahce Istanbul vs Galatasaray Prediction & Betting Tips - Super Lig

Fenerbahce will be at home on Sunday for the biggest game in the Turkish Super Lig this weekend as Galatasaray come visiting. The two teams are tied on points at the top of the standings and only goal difference is keeping Fenerbahce ahead of Galatasaray. Fenerbahce will not only be seeking to lead the league outright, but they will also be out to end their recent derby struggles. Ismail Kartal’s men have lost the previous two meetings with Galatasaray which have all ended in 3-0 scorelines. The Yellow Canaries have won their last four matches and have scored at least three goals in each of those games. They defeated third-placed Kayserispor 4-3 last time out away from home. Fred and Mert Hakan Yandas were sent off in the seven-goal thriller and will therefore miss out here.

Galatasaray are the defending champions and what better way to remind people of this than with a massive win here. Cimbom have won, drawn, and lost the same number of matches as Fenerbahce. They however haven’t been as rampant in attack as their cross-city rivals who have scored 12 more goals than them. Gala have however been better defensively and will hope to stifle their host’s vibrant offence. Okan Buruk’s men are also coming off a victory. They defeated Karagumruk 1-0 at home last out to bounce back following their Champions League elimination. Gala have won four straight league games. Mauro Icardi and Edin Dzeko are also tied at the top of the top scorers’ list. This should add to the excitement of this fixture as the two opposing strikers will seek to outdo one another.
