Fenerbahce Istanbul vs Besiktas Istanbul Prediction & Betting Tips - Super Lig

With just five games to go of an incredible Turkish Super Lig season, Fenerbahce host Besiktas in a game that the home side simply must win to keep on the tails of league leaders Galatasaray. The home side have amassed 86 points from their 33 games and scored an incredible 87 goals in the league. Yet, they still trail Galatasaray by four points after they were held 2-2 away to Sivasspor earlier in this week. Drawn games could be their undoing with home draws against Alanyaspor, Samsunspor and Galatasaray being the most damaging. Unbeaten in 22 league games, second-place Fenerbahce have to keep winning and hope Galatasaray slip up to take the Championship down to the penultimate matchday of the season, when the two are scheduled to meet in Istanbul. 

Besiktas are fourth in the league but are an incredible 35 points behind Fenerbahce in second and 39 behind Galatasaray who lead the league. They could pip Trabzonspor into third place and thus a spot in next season's Europa League, but would need to overturn a four-point deficit in the last five games to do so. The away side has won just one of its last five away games and just six of 16 on the season so far, drawing three and losing seven. They head into the game on the back of a 2-0 win over Ankaragucu last weekend, their first win in five games. With Istanbul Basaksehir and Rizespor two and three points behind them in the table, Besiktas need to keep picking up points to hang on to that final European qualification spot.
