Fenerbache will be hoping for a rather less eventful game than their last game in Europe. In the last sixteen of the Champions League they took on Braga but lost the second leg 4-1 away after having three players sent off. They last reached the Champions League group stages in the 2008/09 season. Last year they lost at this stage of the Champions League losing out to Shakhtar Donetsk and going into the Europa League. That saw them qualify from a group that included Celtic (who they drew against twice) and Ajax (who they beat at home and drew with away). Monaco finished third in the French League last season but only won seven out of 19 away league games conceding more than they scored. This is their first time in the Champions League for ten years and last season failed to get out of their group in the Europa League. Away form isn't good in European competitions either with no wins in their four away matches last season. Fenerbache can get a narrow home lead to take to France.
