These two sides had mixed results in the opening two matches of this round. Midtjylland rose from defeat to beat AGF 1-0 in their last match but stayed second on 51 points. They will hope to leap into the Champions League position with a win here. Buoyed by a run of five wins in six matches, they’ll feel confident about this game. They managed home and away wins over Copenhagen in the regular season, and will be positive of extending that here. When hosting this encounter, Midtjylland are unbeaten in the last three, winning two. In their last home league match, they lost to Nordsjælland and saw their eight-game unbeaten run at home go up in smoke. Midtjylland have however registered five wins in the last six home matches in the Superliga and remain a strong side at home.

In their last game, they lost 2-1 to Nordsjælland, failing to recover from a similar defeat by Brõndby. This run leaves them third on 45 points. Having played in this season’s Champions League, Copenhagen will want more than just the Conference League place. They will have to work for it though, and a run of three losses in five away league matches isn’t encouraging enough.
