Internazionale’s chances of winning the Italian Serie A title went up in smoke after Juventus’ win on Sunday and they will now be focused on finishing second when they host Napoli on Tuesday. Inter have so far managed 76 points, in second place and face a Napoli side in seventh place with 59 points. The 3-0 win away to Genoa was Inter’s first in three matches after straight draws, with Roma and Fiorentina and it also marked a second straight clean sheet for Antonio Conte’s team. They are assured of a Champions League place and will head to their penultimate game only looking to hold on to second place, and a run of six unbeaten matches should inspire some confidence going to this game. Romelu Lukaku scored twice in the 3-0 win making it three goals in the last three matches and alongside Alexis Sanchez, who has also done well lately, they should have enough firepower upfront for this game. At home, Inter have managed 10 of their 22 wins this season, granting them a 56% winning rate at home and they should be fairly comfortable for this clash. Having lost just twice at home in 18 Serie A matches, they will be favorites here as they look to avoid a second straight home loss to Napoli after this season’s 1-0 fall in the Coppa Italia. Inter have not beaten Napoli in their last two meetings and with just a point separating them from third placed Atalanta and fourth placed Lazio, they will want to win and keep their advantage. Six of Inter’s last seven matches have produced over 2.5 goals and they have scored two or more in five of the seven matches.

Napoli on the other hand, head here with a slim chance of making it to the top five though they are still assured of playing in the Europa League next season after winning the Coppa Italia. Just like Inter, Napoli are unbeaten in six matches though they have four wins in the process - one more win than Inter. Napoli beat Sassuolo 2-0 in their last match and though it presented their first clean sheet in eight matches, they didn’t have the best defensive showing as Sassuolo had four goals disallowed. With just three clean sheets in 23 Serie A matches, Gennaro Gatusso’s team will have some work to do against Inter’s forward line. They have won eight of their 17 away league matches and lost four and going to this clash, they have five wins in the last seven away league matches, which should give them confidence to face Inter. With two clean sheets in 13 away league matches, we will not be banking so much on the Napoli defence to hold tight, but they have failed to score in just three of their 17 away league matches. Five of their last seven matches have produced over 2.5 goals and Napoli have scored twice in five of the last seven matches.
