FC Goa will be out to maintain their unbeaten Indian Super League start when they host Jamshedpur or Monday. The two sides have had contrasting starts to the season with Goa sitting second, eight points ahead of 10th-placed Jamshedpur. FC Goa are having a strong start to the season and aside from being unbeaten are just three points off the pace. And to boost them even further, they have two games in hand on table toppers Kerala Blasters. The Gaurs have won four of the five matches they have played and are one of three teams yet to suffer defeat. Manuel Marquez’s men haven’t taken to the pitch in three weeks and they will hope the long stoppage hasn’t disrupted their momentum. Their last match, a 3-0 success, came away to Chennaiyin on the first weekend of November.

Jamshedpur have had an even longer spell without a match. Scott Cooper’s men were last on the pitch on November 1st as they lost 3-2 against Mohun Bagan. Their third loss in six outings left them third from bottom with just five points. The Red Miners, who have a game in hand on the teams below them, have won only once. They arrive for this match having lost their last two fixtures and have conceded five goals in this slump. Jamshedpur haven’t lost to Goa in the last two meetings and this should have them confident of halting their current woes here. Monday’s visitors won 5-3 the last time the two teams met, which was back in April in the AIFF Super Cup.
