Rangers travel to sixth placed Dundee in the Scottish Premiership but will they do so as league leaders? They go into the weekend top of the table but only two points clear of Celtic. A home win for the second placed side against St Johnstone the day before will see them go a point clear. Both Rangers and Celtic lost their last league fixture. For Rangers that ended a run of nine consecutive league victories. They have won 23 of their 29 league games this season with only 16 goals conceded. Away form is highly impressive with 11 out of 14 won in the Scottish Premiership and only five goals put past them. Their last four away league matches have all ended in victory. They have beaten Dundee twice this season with eight goals scored in those two games.

Dundee moved up to sixth in the Scottish Premiership after a 1-0 home win over Abderdeen on Wednesday. A second half penalty gave them the winning goal and that's really boosted their survival chances. They are now 12 points clear of the relegation play-off position and 19 ahead of the automatic spot that takes a side to the Championship. Dundee can instead start dreaming of going into the championship group when the season splits. They need to be in the top six and are a point clear of seventh placed Hibs. The home side has four points from their last two league games. Six of their 14 home league matches have been won this season and three of the last four won. Even so, this is a tough match and we tip Rangers to get the victory.
