The hosts ended the regular season atop the Eastern Conference standings, while the visitors finished third. The stage is set for a titanic clash, and one of these sides will move on to face either LAFC or the Houston Dynamos to be crowned the champions of Major League Soccer.

Yerson Mosquera volleyed home in stoppage time to give the Supporters’ Shield winners the victory and propel them into their first-ever Eastern Conference final. Across the season, Cincinnati have shown their ability time and again to find that little extra when needed and are now on a five-match unbeaten run in this competition. Cincy ended the regular season six points clear of Orlando City in second place with a record of 20 wins, nine draws, and just five losses.
