Bayern Munich are back in top form and up to second in the Bundesliga. They look to win a fifth straight league game when hosting Schalke 04 who are fifth in the table and only three points behind their opponents. Bayern made a slow start to the season, just as they did last term. On that occasion they fought back to win the title and the same could happen again this season. They are only four points behind leaders Leipzig but a form guide for the past five league games has them only a point behind Leipzig. Bayern have won their last four league games and the goals are flowing again with 15 scored and just two conceded. Home form for Bayern has produced four wins in the last five with 15 goals scored.
Schalke are only outside of the Champions League places on goal difference. Only two of their last five league matches have been won with two of the last three ending level. Their away form isn't hot at present with only one point earned from their last two Bundesliga matches. They lost 2-1 at Bayer Leverkusen and then drew 1-1 at Wolfsburg conceding goals in the last ten minutes of the match on both occasions. Munich in form is a frightening sight for the rest of the league and they can win this match, laeading at both half and full time.
