Bayern Munich had another massive win in the Champions League in midweek. They return to Bundesliga action and are third in the table, six places above their opponents. Bayern beat Red Star 6-0 in midweek making it four wins in a row. The last three have been won by an aggregate score of 14-0 and they resume life in the Bundesliga a point behind the league leaders Borussia Monchengladbach. Munich have only lost one of their six home league games this season with 19 goals scored, the best record in the league.
Bayer Leverkusen are ninth in the table, five points behind their opponents. They boosted their Champions League qualification hopes with a midweek win away at Lokomotiv Moscow. They are unbeaten in their last four league and cup matches with three of the game being won. Only one of their last six league games have been won though. Away form is a bit inconsistent with three wins but two defeats. Those defeats were heavy ones with a 3-0 loss at Frankfurt and 4-0 away at Borussia Dortmund. Go for Bayern to win this game and be ahead at both half and full time.
