FC Basel will hope their home comforts can help overturn the one-goal deficit from the reverse fixture when they host Trabzonspor in the second leg of the Europa Conference League play-offs at St. Jakob-Park on Thursday. Jens Stryger Larsen scored just after the hour mark in the first leg at Medical Park Stadium in Trabzon last week to condemn Basel to a 1-0 loss. That will need them override their troubles on the road in European competitions, having lost their last five such matches. Even in all competitions, Trabzonspor have won just one of their last nine away matches, losing six and that could be a big challenge to overcome.
