Braga will look to bounce back to winning ways in the Primeira Liga when they travel to take on Famalicao on Thursday evening. The hosts are currently in seventh place in the league standings, while the visitors are fourth. Famalicao have made a positive start to the year, still unbeaten in 2024. They drew 2-2 with Chaves in their first match of the year before claiming a solid 2-0 win over Casa Pia last weekend. That victory snapped up a six-match winless run that included four draws and two losses. It was also the first time Fama had kept a clean sheet since their 0-0 draw against Vizela ahead of the November international break. The hosts have also only won one of their last five home games and have failed to win their last three. Despite being the outsiders here, Fama did win the reverse fixture against this opponent back in August 2-1 on the road. 

Meanwhile, after a strong end to 2023, Braga have been stumbling in the New Year. They began 2024 with a 1-1 draw against Vitoria Guimaraes and were knocked out of the Taca de Portugal less than a week later, losing 3-2 to Benfica. The Arsenalists will now come into this one winless in their last three games after they were beaten 2-0 by Porto last weekend. Braga are the joint-highest scoring team in the league this term and that loss to the Dragons marked just the second match that they have failed to score a goal in this season. The first was against the Eagles in mid-December. The visitors have been very good on the road this season, with a record of six wins, one draw, and just two losses in nine games.
