Everton vs Wolves Prediction & Betting Tips - Premier League

Two sides at the bottom of the Premier League standings will face off as Everton plays host to Wolverhampton Wanderers. Both sides go into this game without a point but Everton are bottom courtesy of an inferior goal difference. The hosts were humbled away at Aston Villa in their last game, losing 4-0. That defeat was their second in a row, after their 1-0 home loss to Fulham in the opening round. Having conceded five times without response in two games signals the need to address deficiencies on both ends. However, a rather silent transfer period at the club pushes this mission to more difficulty. Everton have less than a week to address their issues in the playing unit. The impending arrival of Che Adams will strengthen the attack but it won’t fully address their needs. Worse, Alex Iwobi and Dominic Calvert Lewin are injured and likely to miss this game. In their last five league matches, Everton have one win and scored two goals only. They’ve managed two clean sheets only in 10 league matches. Playing at home in the league, they’ve lost four of five matches.

Wolverhampton Wanderers are coming from a 4-1 loss to Brighton, following on from an opening 1-0 loss to Manchester United. Having not lost to Everton in their last four meetings, Wolves will be confident of getting their first three points here. Their last meeting with Everton however ended in a draw, the first time they missed out on three points in four meetings. Yerry Mina, the man who has scored against Wolves in the last two meetings, is no longer at Everton. This should be good for Wolves, but they haven't been great in attack either. Wolves come into this game with one goal in their opening two matches. That happens to be their second goal in five league matches. Coming into this game, they haven't won in any of their last five league matches. In three of five league games, they conceded two or more goals, signaling weaknesses in both defence and attack. In this game they will be without Matheus Nunes, who was sent off in the Brighton game.
