Everton vs Tottenham Prediction & Betting Tips - Premier League
by Daniel Ngulu | in Premier League Predictions
Everton will host Tottenham Hotspur in their next league game as both teams seek reprieve after tumultuous weeks. Everton are 10th on 14 points and Spurs are ninth with 15 points. The hosts are going through a really rough patch and there’s already pressure on manager Rafa Benitez after suffering three straight losses. They are winless in their last four matches and in the last seven, Everton have managed just one win. Benitez’s pressure isn’t eased by the fact that Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Abdoulaye Doucure and Yerry Mina are all out with injury. They have two straight home losses and have no clean sheet in their last four matches. However, they are unbeaten in their last three matches against Spurs.
As for Tottenham, Antonio Conte’s first game in charge ended in a 3-2 win over Dutch side Vitesse in the Europa Conference League on Thursday. He still has defensive issues to address and will take cue from the performance on Thursday. His team led 3-0 after 28 minutes but Vitesse battled to end it 3-2 going to the break. In three of the last five matches they’ve also failed to score but with the caliber of players at the team, the bigger worry is in the defence. They’ve managed one clean sheet in the last 13 matches and in the last seven league games, they’ve lost five. Spurs haven’t managed a clean sheet in their last seven league matches.

Our Everton vs Tottenham Prediction
There’s really very little to separate these two sides in terms of recent form and on paper they will seem matched. However, the favorites' tag will lean on Spurs’ side going into the game. They’ve gone through tough times but they do have two wins in their last four league matches, unlike Everton who have no win in four. Spurs also have a new manager and there’s expectation that he breathes new life in the team. Back Spurs to win.
