Everton vs Southampton Prediction & Betting Tips - Premier League

This is the Saturday tea-time fixture and Southampton will already have had a few nervous hours seeing how their relegation rivals get on. Wins for Swansea City and Stoke City would make matters a lot worse for them as they begin the weekend just a point from safety after last week's home win over Bournemouth. Southampton have three games to go and midweek sees them travel to Swansea City in a game they just have to win. They end the season with a home game against champions Manchester City so points against Everton and Swansea are a must. Their big problem is the fact they have only won one of their last 15 away league games and they haven't won at Goodison Park since 1997. A draw here might not be too bad a result if Swansea lose at Bournemouth but if the Welsh side and Stoke were to win earlier in the day, the pressure on the Saints will be even larger and they might not be able to cope with it.

Everton are eighth in the table and that's a lot better than the last time they took on Southampton. A dreadful 4-1 loss at the St Mary's Stadium signalled the end for Ronald Koeman with the club in the bottom three.  They have recovered since then but fans still aren't happy with the style of football under new boss Sam Allardyce. They are unbeaten in their last four league games and only the two Manchester clubs have beaten them in their last 13 home league matches. This is difficult to predict with Everton not having too much to play for but they will be keen to end the season on a high and can get a win over Southampton who struggle on their travels,
