Everton look to build on their 1-0 win at Nottingham Forest on Saturday. That moved them up to 18th in the table and they now host Newcastle United who are sixth. The Toffees are still reeling from receiving a ten-point deduction and are now two points from safety. They could escape the bottom three if beating Newcastle United and Luton Town don't beat Arsenal on Tuesday. But for the points deduction, Everton would be 12th in the Premier League table. After a slow start to the new season, Sean Dyche's side have picked up well with ten points from their last five league fixtures. It's not always been easy for them at Goodison Park with just four points from seven home Premier League games. Their only home league win this season came against Bournemouth in early October. Five of their seven home league matches have ended in defeat, most recently a 3-0 loss to Manchester United.

Newcastle United also made a slow start to the season but are now up to sixth in the table. A form guide for the last ten league matches has them on top of the table with 23 points. Saturday saw the Magpies beat Manchester United 1-0 at home with former Everton player Anthony Gordon scoring the winner. That extended their unbeaten run to three games and after the weekend fixtures, they are now only three points behind the top four. Away league form for Newcastle has produced just one rather memorable 8-0 win at Sheffield United. The other five games have only earned them a couple of points.
