by Daniel Ngulu in Premier League Predictions
Manchester City will get a taste of the rejuvenated Everton under David Moyes this Saturday as the Premier League enters round 33. Everton, who are currently on 38 points, will play host in this match, seeking to close in on a top-half finish. Meanwhile, Manchester City are engaged in a tough battle for a top-five finish and come here having garnered 55 points. We have the preview and at least two predictions for this match below.
In the past few seasons, these two sides would be fighting for completely different targets at this point of the year. Everton, who survived relegation during the latter stages of their previous campaigns, need just two points to secure their topflight status.
The return of Moyes has really lifted the team. Meanwhile, Manchester City still have their all-conquering manager, Pep Guardiola, in charge, but it has been a seriously poor season by his high standards. City would normally be closing in on the league title by this point, but they are fifth, 21 points off the pace.

Everton - Manchester City: Form Analysis
Everton haven't won a lot of their matches, but under David Moyes, they’ve come close to rediscovering their best form.
The Toffees are currently one of the toughest sides to beat, and City are about to experience the same. Fourth-placed Nottingham Forest felt it last week as Abdoulaye Doucoure scored in stoppage time in Everton’s 1-0 win.
That was only Everton’s second win in nine league matches, but they’ve lost just once in the process. At home in the league, Everton are unbeaten in six outings, but each of the last four ended in a draw.
No team has drawn more league matches this season than Everton’s 14.
As far as the Premier League is concerned, Manchester City are playing their final weeks as the reigning champions. With six matches to go, they’ve already been dethroned off the back of a poor season.
Their only hope for silverware this season is the FA Cup, and it won’t be surprising if they rotate in preparation for the coming semi-final against Nottingham Forest.
The Cityzens have had calmer times in recent matches; they come into this game unbeaten in five. Their most recent outing ended in a 5-2 win at home to Crystal Palace.
The champions had to come from 2-0 down and scored three times in the second half to claim the three points.

Everton & Manchester City Squad Analysis
The one quality that has lifted Everton, especially on Moyes’ second coming, has been their team spirit. The Toffees don’t have many star players, but teamwork has served them well. Still, there are players in there that deserve a mention.
Among them is last week’s hero, Abdoulaye Doucoure. The midfielder has scored three times in the last eight league matches, a return that dwarfs his single goal in the 36 matches before.
Illiman Ndiaye will provide additional options in attack, having netted seven times this season. The hosts will, however, miss Dominic Calvert-Lewin, who has been struggling with a hamstring injury for the better part of the year.
In Haaland’s absence, we expect Marmoush to lead the attack for City again.
Manchester City are still set to miss their main forward, Erling Haaland. The Norwegian is recovering from an ankle injury and is expected back in May.
A reflection of City’s poor season, for the first time since his arrival in England, Haaland looks set to miss the top scorer’s gong. He has 21 goals so far, six less than leading scorer Mo Salah.
As Haaland recovers, Omar Marmoush has stepped up, with two goals in three matches. The Egyptian will once again lead the line at Everton.
Meanwhile, defenders Manuel Akanji, John Stones and Nathan Ake are set to miss out with injury.

Our Everton vs Manchester City Prediction
Manchester City are enduring a tough campaign, and a match away to Everton doesn’t constitute an easy outing. The Toffees have been hard to beat under David Moyes, even though they haven't won a lot of matches lately.
In the reverse match at City, they forced a draw, one of the seven they’ve managed against sides in the top half. Notably, City have also struggled against sides in the bottom half. Our prediction for Everton v Manchester City is for the game to end in a draw.
Everton vs Manchester City - Other Interesting Predictions
Under 2.5 goals
Manchester City have failed to score in the last two away league matches. Actually, their scoring form on the road has generally been poor, scoring just twice in the last four league games.
Everton, on their part, haven't managed more than a goal in the last six league matches. It gives the impression this could be a low-scoring affair. With that, our second prediction here will be for under 2.5 goals.
