Everton vs Liverpool Prediction & Betting Tips - Premier League
by Steve Ashfield | in Premier League Predictions
Not since 2010 have Everton beaten their close neighbours Liverpool. That could change as the league leaders host fifth placed Liverpool. Everton have only managed to score against the Reds in one of their last six meetings but that could all change this weekend. Liverpool may be league champions but it’s the Toffees who are top of the table and in the quarter finals of the EFL Cup. Everton have won all seven of their league and cup games this season, scoring at least twice in each of the last six. With Calvert-Lewin, Rodriguez and Richarlison all in great form, they are going to give Liverpool a tough battle. Everton have only lost one of their last 14 home league games, that includes a goalless draw with Liverpool in June. This is the first game of the weekend, so a win would see Everton not just get bragging rights over Liverpool, but take them six points clear at the top for a few hours.
Liverpool had started their season with three straight league games. Then came the trip to Aston Villa and a shock, almost unbelievable 7-2 defeat. That’s the third of their games this crazy season to end 7-2, the others being a home win in a friendly against Blackpool and an away win at Lincoln City in the EFL Cup. The Reds have been knocked out of that competition by Arsenal, so will want to bounce back to form before their Champions League campaign begins. The amount of goals being conceded must be a worry for Jurgen Klopp. They’ve let in 11 so far in four Premier League games and it took them until November to do that last season. The last three Goodison Park Merseyside derby matches have all ended goalless. It seems impossible that will happen in this game. Go for both teams to score.

Our Everton vs Liverpool Prediction
The thought of Everton beating Liverpool is enough to get their fans excited. The fact it would take them six points clear at the top of the table might have them wondering if it's the 1980s again. The Toffees have made a highly impressive start to the season, both in the league and EFL Cup. Home form is good too but they just can't get wins over Liverpool. The away side have to get over that defeat by Aston Villa and their defence has to get back to last season's levels. A bet on both teams to score in this game is the one to make.
