Everton still have hopes of Champions League football next season. They are currently eigth in the Premier League, four places above their opponents. Everton are five points behind fourth placed Chelsea but have two games in hand on them. They need to get back into winning form though as their last two league games have both ended in defeat. Home form has been disappointing of late too with four recent defeats, three by teams in the bottom six. The return to scoring form of Dominic Calert-Lewin and Richarlison is important for them. He has to score as he did for England against San Marino if Everton are to qualify for European competition next season. Richarlison has scored twice in the last three Everton home games and is a good anytime goalscorer bet.

Crystal Palace are in 12th position and trail Everton by nine points. They are 11 points above the bottom three at the start of the weekend. That could be eight by the time this match begins but they look safe. They come into this game having lost only one of their last five league games, a 4-1 loss at Tottenham. Palace do tend to have a few off-days on their travels and six times they have let in at least two goals in an away Premier League match. Seven away Premier League games have been lost this season. As for their five wins, four have come against teams in the bottom five. Only two goals have been scored by Palace in their last four league fixtures, one of them coming from the penalty spot. This is a game Everton need to win to maintain their European qualification hopes. They have far more to play for and can get the three points.
