Everton are fifth in the Women's Super League and doing a lot better than last season's disastrous campaign. They look for a third win of the season when hosting ninth placed Brighton and Hove Albion. Everton finished one from bottom in the table last season but have already won two league games this term. They didn't get a league win before Christmas last season but began their new campaign with two wins in a row over Birmingham City and Bristol City. Their last two games have both been lost with defeats by leaders Manchester City and 7th placed Reading. Their two league victories have come against sides down the bottom of the table with one goal between them this season. A home game against ninth placed Brighton is more in their range of games that can be won.

Brighton are still waiting for their first league win of the season. They have just two points from their four games and are four points behind eighth placed Tottenham. Brighton's points came in their first two matches. They drew 0-0 at Bristol City and 1-1 at home with Chelsea, conceding a late equalizer. Their last two games have both ended in defeat with losses away at Arsenal 4-0 and 3-1 at home to West Ham. With eight goals conceded so far this season, Brighton have the worst defensive recored in the league. This looks booked for an Everton home win.
