19th placed Bournemouth can go ahead of their opponents in the table if winning at Everton. The home side are 16th in the Premier League but only a point ahead of the visitors. Everton looked to have turned a corner after a league win at Brentford was followed by a Carabao Cup victory at Aston Villa. Note that both were achieved on the road and the Toffees still struggle to get wins on home soil. Last Saturday saw them lose 2-1 at home to Luton Town who hadn't won a league game before that victory. Their last four home league matches have all been lost. They last won a home Premier League match when beating Bournemouth in their last game of the 2022-23 season. The three points earned in that match are the only ones they have got in their last eight home league fixtures.

Bournemouth are in the relegation zone and dropped to 19th after Burnley won at Luton Town on Tuesday. Their most recent game saw them lose 4-0 at home to Arsenal. That means after seven games of the new Premier League season they are still looking for their first win. They have lost four of their last five away league fixtures, the other game being a 2-2 draw at Brentford. Whlie they struggle for points on the road, they do usually get on the scoresheet themselves. Their last three away league fixtures have all seen both teams get on the scoresheet.
