Everton vs Aston Villa Prediction & Betting Tips - Premier League

17th placed Everton are still looking for their first win of 2024. They host second placed Aston Villa on Sunday and could be back in the bottom three by the time this game begins. That will be the case if 18th placed Luton Town can avoid defeat at Burnley on Friday evening. Everton have of course been deducted ten points and but for that would be 12th in the table. The Toffees had been showing some good form until recently but come into this game having lost their last three Premier League games. They have also been knocked out of the Carabao Cup and only drew 0-0 at Crystal Palace in the FA Cup third round last week. That made it five games without a win and they have failed to score in their last two. Home form has seen them win three out of ten Premier League games this season with six defeats. 

Aston Villa begin the weekend three points behind leaders Liverpool. The Reds don't play in the league until the 21st so Villa can draw level on points with them if winning at Goodison Park but would need to win by a nine-goal margin to go top. The Villans have won 13 games in the Premier League this season but only four have come on their travels. They had shown some improvement though with wins at Tottenham and Brentford but lost their last away game 3-2 at Manchester United. That was a disappointing defeat after leading 2-0 at one stage. Last weekend saw them win 1-0 away at Middlesbrough in the FA Cup third round. We tip them to get an important away league victory here.
