Ethiopia vs Guinea Prediction & Betting Tips - AFCON

Ethiopia host Guinea in the return match of their 2024 Africa Cup of Nations Group D qualifier on Monday in Rabat, Morocco. The two nations met three days ago in the same country but in Casablanca with Guinea securing a massive 2-0 win that sent them joint top of the group with six points. Before the match, Ethiopia were top with all four teams in the group on three points but they have since been relegated to the bottom spot. Ethiopia shocked group favourites Egypt 2-0 on Match Day 2 and will hope to replicate that performance. Defeat on Monday will complicate their hopes of making it to back-to-back Nations Cups for the first time in more than 50 years and they will seek to avoid that by all means.

A win on Monday will leave Guinea with at the very least needing to avoid defeat in their final two matches to be assured of getting back to the continental stage for the third time in succession. The last time they did that was between 2004 and 2008 and they will be keen to make it happen again. Francois Kamano and Mohamed Bayo scored either side of halftime to secure the win in the first match and they will fancy their chances again here. With only two losses in 16 AFCON qualification matches, Guinea will be confident of bagging three key points here. They have the upper hand, with three clean sheets in the last five matches in such qualifiers. They have beaten Ethiopia five times in eight matches, and lost just once.
