Wolverhampton Wanderers will carry to Spain a massive lead in their return leg round of 16 clash against Espanyol in the Europa League. Espanyol, who have struggled for the better part of this season, suffered a 4-0 loss in England last week and have a heavy task at home. Earlier in the season, they smashed Ludogorets 6-0 in the Europa League and for them to progress, they will need to do something similar, or at least score four unanswered goals to force penalties. It will be a tough ask, as Wolverhampton are currently on a good run and will be more confident after their big win. Wolverhampton Wanderers, on their part, troop to Spain with two straight wins. Their 3-0 win over bottom side Norwich this past weekend will pass as a good boost, coming straight from the 4-0 first leg win over Espanyol. The win also saw Wolves register their fourth straight clean sheet. In their last six matches, they have lost just once in their last six matches, while they have scored two or more goals in three of those. They are unbeaten in six Europa League matches, with five wins therein, and they have scored three goals or more in the last three Europa League matches. It is their first season in the Europa League but Wolves have shown they can match the bigwigs; they go to this game unbeaten in six away matches and with five wins therein. They have scored in each of their six away matches in the competition, in five of them two goals or more.
