Espanyol vs CF Fuenlabrada Prediction & Betting Tips - LaLiga 2

Espanyol are seeking a return to La Liga and though they are in prime position, it is a bit tight at the top of the Segunda Division table. They are tied at 61 points with second placed Mallorca and will be hoping to open up a gap when they host ninth placed Fuenlabrada, who have so far gained 42 points. The chase for automatic promotion is going well for the hosts, at the moment being four points ahead of the third placed team. Most importantly though, they’ve found the winning touch, with two straight wins after three successive draws,  Nine goals have been scored in their last three league games but will want to work on the defence, having kept just one clean sheet in the last five games. Each of their last three matches has produced over 2.5 goals and they are coming from an impressive comeback that saw them beat Castellon 3-1. In the game though, their opponents were reduced to 10 men in the 35th minute while the teams were tied at 1-1 and Espanyol went on to score twice. At home, it has been good for Espanyol, not just by having gone unbeaten in the last three matches there, but they have 11 wins in the 15 home matches they’ve played in the league. Out of a possible 45 points, they have gained 35 at home this season, and have only conceded eight goals, while scoring 27 in the 15 home matches.

Fuenlabrada are also coming from two straight wins and their most recent really passed a favor to Espanyol, as they beat second placed Mallorca 4-1. That result led to Espanyol taking over at the top of the table. Now it is time for Espanyol to face Fuenlabrada, who may be placed lower but have high ambitions. Fuenlabrada are seven points below the promotion playoff slots though the sixth placed side has a game in hand. A win here will be very crucial to this target and the visitors will definitely be gunning for three points. They’ve scored six goals in the last two matches, the other win being 2-0 at fourth placed Leganes. One of the scorers in the latest win being Pathe Ciss who showed great maturity right after returning from suspension. Fuenlabrada however, do not have a run as great as Espanyol, with just three wins in the last 12 matches. They do have a four-game unbeaten streak away from home though, and their away form has been better than at home. Fuenlabrada have six wins in their 15 away league matches, compared to three wins in 16 at home, so they’ll be happier heading to Espanyol, though having gained just 27 points from a possible 45 away from home.
