The Tunisian Super Cup is set to get underway on Sunday between the league winners ES Sahel and the Tunisian Cup winners Olympique Beja. The hosts ended the current regular season atop the standings in Group A, while the visitors finished fifth. ES Sahel came back brilliantly to overtake ES Tunis in the playoff round last season. They have carried that form into this term, finishing a point ahead of Tunis in the first half of the campaign. During that time, Sahel recorded seven wins, four draws and just a single loss. The only blemish on their record so far this season has been their CAF Champions League form, where they currently sit third in their group. In domestic competition, the hosts are unbeaten in their last 13 matches and have maintained an incredible ten clean sheets in that time. The hosts are the clear favourites in this match.  

Meanwhile, Olympique Beja had a fairly poor first half of the season. They managed just 14 points from 12 matches in the regular season, which left them 11 points behind the league leaders. Over the first half of the campaign, Beja recorded four wins, two draws and six losses, which was a worse return than they delivered last season. The visitors lost their last match 1-0 against Club Africain, which extended their poor end-season record to seven matches without a win. During that time, they suffered five losses and managed just two draws. Beja are also winless in their last four away games and have failed to find the net in their last three. However, they are unbeaten against this opponent in their last two meetings which will give them some confidence heading into this one.
