England vs Belgium Prediction & Betting Tips - International Friendlies
by Ian John in Football Predictions
Gareth Southgate's England host Belgium on Tuesday night in what has now become a real test ahead of the European Championships this summer. Both teams endured disappointing results over the weekend, England losing 1-0 at home to Brazil, while Belgium were held 0-0 by the Republic of Ireland who also missed a penalty in that game. Both Southgate and his counterpart Domenico Tedesco will know there is serious improvement needed ahead of the finals next summer. Starting with this game on Tuesday night.Limited Offer. England - Belgium: Form Analysis
It is fair to say that England's recent form under Gareth Southgate has been poor. Despite a 10-game unbeaten run, England were extremely poor in beating Malta 2-0 at Wembley and followed that up with an even poorer display away to North Macedonia, where they could only manage a 1-1 draw. Then on Friday, they faced a young and vastly inexperienced Brazil team and once again struggled to create chances against what is an ordinary Brazil side that had lost their previous three games. Eventually, England lost 1-0 to a late Endrick strike, but the lack of chances created by England in that game, and how their performance tailed off when Jude Bellingham was substituted will be a real concern for Southgate and his team heading into this difficult game with Belgium.
While Belgium may have been poor against the Republic of Ireland, they still emerged with a draw to maintain their unbeaten record since the 2022 World Cup Finals. In the 10 games that have been completed (not including the abandoned game with Sweden), Belgium have won eight and drawn two of those matches recording wins over Sweden, Serbia, Germany and Austria in that run. The Belgian squad has a number of Premier League-based stars in it, including Youri Tielemans (Aston Villa), Jeremy Doku (Man City), Leandro Trossard (Arsenal) and Amadou Onana (Everton) all of whom will be well used to playing against many of this English squad. They will also be desperate to try and land their first ever win at Wembley.

England & Belgium Squad Analysis
Both these teams have been hit with a number of injuries rendering key players unavailable. For England, Gareth Southgate was unable to select all of the following due to injury - Reece James (Chelsea), Trent Alexander-Arnold (Liverpool), Marc Guehi & Ebereche Eze (Crystal Palace), Nick Pope, Callum Wilson & Kieran Trippier (Newcastle), Jack Grealish (Man City), Tyrone Mings (Aston Villa). Meanwhile Harry Kane and Bikayo Saka have withdrawn from the squad due to slight injuries and will not be available for the Belgium game, while Jordan Henderson remains a doubt after missing the Brazil game, allowing Kobbie Mainoo to earn his first cap against the South Americans. Anthony Gordon's performance against Brazil was the sole bright spot for England in what was an otherwise disappointing performance.
Belgium boss Domenico Tedesco has his own injury absentees for this game with Kevin De Bruyne and Thibaut Courtois the most notable absentees through injury as the skipper and vice captain of the team. Leander Dendoncker and Romeo Lavia are two other players that missed out through injury. Nottingham Forest goalkeeper Matz Sels was given the goalkeeper shirt against the Republic of Ireland and did well, saving a penalty to secure the draw in that game. Romelu lukau's 83 goals in 113 international caps is an outstanding record and the 30-year-old striker could well add to that tally for several years yet.

2 Goals Ahead Early Payout Offer
One of the worst feelings when placing a football bet is when the team that you have backed has gone into a multiple-goal lead only to be clawed back to a draw or to lose the game in question. This is something that bet365 has rectified for their bettors courtesy of this offer. If the team that you backed takes a two-goal lead your bet will be paid out as a winner. That is any two-goal lead so 2-0, 3-1, 4-2 etc will all be paid out early as a winner if your team is in that position. This is available in 80 different competitions including the major leagues across Europe and can be played on the full-time result market. Singles and multiples are both valid for this offer but you cannot bet on enhanced price markets. As with most promotions, if you cash out a bet in full, the bet will no longer be available for the offer in question. It also cannot be used if you bet on the draw on a game.
