This match at the Stadio Carlo Castellani on Sunday will see the hosts finish 18th with 33 points and the visitors sixth with 63 points. Empoli are vying to avoid the last relegation spot and have Frosinone (35) and Udinese (34) just above them. With those teams facing off on the last matchday, Empoli will be saved if they win here against Roma. If they draw, they need Frosinone to defeat Udinese, which will force a relegation play-off. That would require Empoli to reverse their recent form, having failed to win their last four league games.
