Empoli are yet to win a game this season, a stat they will be hoping to change when they host AS Roma. The two sides are on opposite ends in the Serie A standings with Roma fifth of 10 points while Empoli are 15th with four points. AS Roma come into this game on the back of two straight losses. Their most recent defeat was in the Europa League, away to Ludogorets but before that they had suffered a 4-0 loss to Udinese in Serie A. That loss to Udinese saw Roma drop to fifth from the top of the league. Six goals conceded in the last two matches will surely be a concern for Jose Mourinho and he will even be more bothered by the fact that his team has scored more than a goal in just one of the last five matches. Roma have three wins in five league matches, but their only away win in four across all competitions was in August, against Salernitana. They’ve gone winless in the three away games that have followed.
