Empoli will be at home against Lazio on Saturday in their final game of the 2022/23 Italian Serie A season. Lazio come to this match in second place and targeting a top-two finish while Empoli are 14th on the table. Empoli secured a third successive season in the Italian topflight and are now just playing for pride. Pretty much is already settled going into this final round. Realistically, Empoli cannot finish higher than 13th. Paolo Zanetti’s charges secured their Serie A status in May as they went unbeaten in the month.
