Elche will play host to FC Andorra in the Segunda Division on Monday night. The hosts are currently in 18th place, while the visitors are three places above them with a one-point advantage. After finishing rock bottom in La Liga last term, Elche’s woes seem to have followed them into this season. They have managed just nine points in as many matches, leaving them just one point above the drop zone. Los Franjiverdes lost their last match 2-0 to Sporting Gijon in midweek. That result extended their recent record to three games without a win. In addition, they failed to score a single goal in that time while conceding six. Over the first nine games of the season, the hosts have won two, drawn three and lost four. Notably, Elche are the lowest-scoring team in the league so far, with just five returns to date. However, they are unbeaten in their last four games at home, making them the favourites in this one. 

Meanwhile, after a seventh-placed finish last term, things have not gone great for Andorra this season. They have managed ten points so far, with a record of three wins, one draw and five losses.  The Tricolours lost their last match to Real Zaragoza 1-0 at home, which was their third consecutive match without a win. They have also conceded 14 goals already this season, which is the third-most of any team in the league. In four away matches this season, Andorra have lost their last three. Their only win on the road came in week two when they beat Leganes 1-0.
