Eintracht Frankfurt vs Union Saint-Gilloise Prediction & Betting Tips - Conference League

A stuttering Eintracht Frankfurt will play host to Union Saint-Gilloise in the second leg of the Europa Conference League knockout rounds on Thursday night. The tie is level at two goals apiece after the first leg. Eintracht Frankfurt made an excellent start last week and lept to a two-goal lead inside the opening ten minutes of the match thanks to goals from Fares Chaibi and Sasa Kalajdzic. However, their defensive frailties of late once again came to the fore as their opponents leveled proceedings in the second half and held on to an important draw. The Eagles followed that up with a 3-3 draw away to Freiburg at the weekend, where they took the lead on three separate occasions but saw it slip each time. That marked Frankfurt's third consecutive draw in all competitions and was their fourth match without a win. However, they will look forward to returning to their home patch this week, where they are unbeaten in their last four, including three wins and a draw. 

Meanwhile, Union Sait-Gilloise were involved in the Europa League for the first half of the season but were unable to clinch a top-two finish, ending three points behind Toulouse and four off group winners Liverpool. Last week, Les Unionistes leveled the match through goals by Mathias Rasmussen and Gustaf Nilsson and managed to secure a draw despite being reduced to ten men after Charles Vanhoutte was sent off with 12 minutes of regulation time still to play. Following that match, Union 60 resumed business as usual in the Belgian Pro League, beating Kortrijk 3-1 on the road, marking their 19th league win in 26 games this season. They are currently sitting atop the league standings with 62 points, a healthy eight points clear of their closest rivals Anderlecht. The visitors failed to win any of their away games in the Europa League but have only been defeated once in their last ten in all competitions on the road.
