Eintracht Frankfurt haven't been in great form in recent times, and they will be hoping to bounce back when they host Union Berlin in the German Cup quarter finals. The hosts returned from the international break with a 1-1 draw at home to Bochum. They had to come from down with Randal Kolo Muani netting from the penalty spot in the 22nd minute, eight minutes after Takuma Asano’s opener. That result marked Eintracht Frankfurt’s seventh straight winless outing and they have just two wins in the last 10 games. They also have one clean sheet only in the last 10 matches. It has been tough at home too, with their last three games failing to produce a win as well.

Union Berlin will be more confident coming into this game, after registering their second straight win in their first game after the international break. They beat Stuttgart 3-0, building on their earlier 2-0 win over Eintracht Frankfurt just before the international break. A second meeting in about a fortnight promises to be a cracker and Union Berlin will hope they can do better than in their earlier away matches. The visitors have no win in their last four away matches and in some of them, they’ve conceded heavily. Twice in the last three away matches, Union Berlin have conceded three goals, and three times in the last five, they have failed to score.
