Egypt will look to redeem their fortunes after a disastrous Africa Cup of Nations as they host New Zealand in an international friendly. This match will be played at the Cairo International Stadium on Friday. Egypt are still hurting from their poor Africa Cup of Nations performance, where they crashed out of the round of 16 without a win to their name and only four draws during regular time. This was the first time since 1992 that the team didn’t win a match in an African Cup of Nations campaign, highlighting how poor they have been in this edition. The focus would shift to the World Cup qualifiers in June, where they currently top Group A with two wins out of two.
