Egypt take on leaders Ghana in their final group match. The Black Stars have already qualified for the quarterfinals having won all two of their matches. The Ghanaians beat Uganda 1-0 in their first match of the tournament through a first half penalty converted by Andre Ayew after Asamoah Gyan was felled in the box. They then beat Mali by a similar scoreline, with Gyan, who is playing his final AFCON finding the back of the net on the 29th minute. The Egyptians, who are placed second in the group after one win and one draw just need a draw to progress. They are under pressure from third-placed Mali, who could progress should they beat Uganda by three or more goals, and if Egypt falls to Ghana. The Pharaohs will be skippered by Essam El-Hadary and with goal poacher Abdallah Side and Roma Forward, Mohamed Salah on its strike force, will give Ghana a run for their money.The Black Stars will be captained by Asamoah Gyan, who is playing his sixth AFCON and will be deputized by West Ham United Forward Ayew.
