Ecuador managed to get a draw with Brazil in their opening Copa America fixture. Peru top the group after they defeated Haiti 1-0 but this is going to be a heck of a lot tougher for them though they know a win will take them into the knock-out stages. Ecuador are currently second in the marathon South American World Cup qualifying group. Peru languish down in eighth having lost four of their six games and won't be heading to Russia in a couple of years time. It took a second half Guerrero goal to give them the win against Haiti. Ecuador only managed 31% possession against Brazil in their opening fixture but restricted their opponents to just nine goal attempts of which only a couple were on target. A win over Haiti will put them in with a great chance of qualifying if Brazil can beat Haiti as expected and then avoid defeat to the Peruvians who they recently beat 3-0 in the World Cup. Ecuador have a stronger side than Peru and can get a win over them to improve their chances of making it out of the group.
