Diables Noirs vs Sekhukhune United Prediction & Betting Tips - Caf Confederation Cup

The final round of matches in Group D of the CAF Confederation Cup will see Diables Noirs playing host to Sekhukhune United on Sunday afternoon. The hosts are currently at the bottom of the group standings, while the visitors are in third place. This is a dead-rubber match between the sides at the bottom of the group, as neither will be able to qualify for the knockout stages. Diables Noirs have had a campaign to forget. They have taken just one point from their five matches in this competition so far, which came by way of a 1-1 draw against RSB Berkane before the international break. Their hopes of qualification were ended last week when they lost 1-0 to Stade Malien Bamako. Outside of the continental competition, the Black Devils have been much better, though, unbeaten in their last six Ligue 1 matches. At home, the hosts have not tasted defeat in six games as well and will want to give their home fans something to cheer here as they look to avoid ending their Confederation Cup winless. 

Similarly, Sekhukhune United will be playing this match as a mere formality. They are on five points in as many games and trail second-place Stade Malien by five points. Following a 2-1 win over this opponent and holding Stade Malien to a draw in weeks two and three, Babina Noko were well in the running to clinch a top-two finish. However, a 1-0 loss to Blancs de Bamako and a stalemate against The Oranges Boys last week sealed their fate in the competition. The visitors have also failed to score in four of their five Confederation Cup games, including both matches on the road, which they lost. Still, they too, will want to bow out on a positive note and cannot be totally discounted here, especially with having the psychological edge of victory in the reverse match.
